Lithuanian Airports, in collaboration with the Lithuanian Architects’ Union, announce an extension to the deadline for the international architectural competition to design the new arrivals terminal at Vilnius Airport. The extension comes as a result of changes in the public procurement system. Architects now have until 20 March 2025 to submit their final proposals.
The organisers emphasize that this extension will provide additional time for participants, addressing requests from potential competitors who expressed a need for a longer preparation period.
It is recalled that there are no changes to the previously announced requirements and conditions for bidders.
The aim of the architectural design competition is to create a modern and efficient arrivals terminal that will be integrated with the future Rail Baltica link, a new departure terminal and a reconstructed central square.
The projects will be judged by an international jury and the five best ideas will share a prize fund of €120,000.
